SETC President:
Shona R. Smith, MPH

Shona received a BS in Biology from Calvin College in 2009, served in Peace Corps Nicaragua as a Maternal and Child Health volunteer from 2011-2013, and earned her MPH in Global Epi from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in 2015. She has been the Michigan TB Epidemiologist since that time and loves to hone her practice while also working and building relationships with amazing colleagues locally, nationally, and globally. Shona’s many areas of interest within infectious disease and epi include surveillance, quality assurance, data management, analysis, and presentation, outbreak investigations, guidance documents, risk communication, and neglected tropical diseases. In her free time she enjoys family time, barre classes, audiobooks, classics novels, all the streaming, and all the coffee.
