TRAINING: Tuberculin Skin Test Train-the-Trainer

Notes: This one-day skill-building course provides the knowledge needed to plan, teach, and evaluate a Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) course. The course content includes skills for planning and conducting a TST training, including adult learning principles and teaching strategies. The curriculum is provided through lecture and participatory activities, including practicum in TST administration and reading and instructional skills demonstration. Each participant must demonstrate proficiency in delivering course content plus administering and reading the TST. Participants will receive feedback from experienced trainers as they practice their skills. Topics include: adult learning principles for instructors, tips and tools to plan and conduct a successful TST training, and TST course curriculum review and demonstration.
