Annual TB Genotyping Update, 2017

 
The 2017 Annual TB Genotyping Update will be held on Friday, June 23, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the City University of New York (CUNY) Law School, 2 Court Square, Auditorium, Long Island City, New York, and simultaneously offered as a webinar. This event is co-sponsored by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of TB Control and the NTCA Society for Epidemiology in Tuberculosis Control (SETC). This event is free of charge. No continuing education credits will be offered.

Topics for this year’s meeting will include implementation of the HAIN GenoType MTBDRplus in a public health laboratory setting; implementation of whole genome sequencing at the local, state, and national levels; false positive investigation; TB clustering and outbreak investigation/response; genotyping updates from the CDC; and transmission of extensively drug-resistant TB in South Africa.
